If the artist performing the extension is skilled enough, no damage will be done to the real lashes. Extension on it’s own cannot cause any harm. The damage that occurs is due to unfit lashes selected for the extension. The cause of damage might be among the following:

Using heavier sets of lashes, that will cause the extension lashes to drop sooner.

Rubbing the eyes will cause the lashes to break. Its important to keep the lashes healthy and not to touch them.

How to prepare for extension?

On the day of extension, do not use mascara, or any oily material around the eyes. This will allow the glue to be more effective and the process to be completed more smoothly.

How long does this procedure take?

The length of this operation depends on the lashes used and the amount used in the extension, which takes from 2 to 3 hours.

Can you use mascara with extended lashes?

One of the advantages of using extension for lashes, is the fact that using a mascara will bo longer be required. Also it is not recommended to use mascara with them, as it is very hard to clean it off the extended lashes and might break them. If you need to use them, you have to use them on the lower lashes, also avoid anti water lashes.

Also when it comes to face wash, use cleaning materials that are compatible with lashes. Some material out there contains ingredients that will soften the glue and reduce the life of extension.
